NSBE Boston Professionals is pleased to announce the 2019-2020 STEM Ambassador Scholarship benefiting college/ university students enrolled or involved in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) academic programs.
The scholarship rewards NSBE student ambassadors helping to build the pipeline of minority students interested in STEM through academic excellence, community service, and participation within NSBE Jr. programming which are key attributes that promote the NSBE Mission, which is “to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”
The NSBE Boston STEM Ambassador scholarship award program supports the “1 of 10,000 Black Engineers” campaign, NSBE’s national STEM Initiative to graduate 10,000 Black Engineers yearly by 2025. The STEM Ambassadors are directly impacting the NSBE Jr. members in the Boston area (K-12 students), through a combination of mentoring, student engagement, and STEM awareness.
