ABOUT THE 2020 NSBE BOSTON ELECTIONS
NSBE Boston holds Board elections every year, following a candidates nomination period open to financially active members. The positions of the NSBE Boston President & Vice President, will serve for two years, while other elected positions serve for one year. The elections committee reviewed 5 applications for all of the elected positions.
We held a membership town hall on August 5th, 2020, to provide a Year In Review of the chapter programs & operations, overview of the 2020 election process, presentation of the candidates and answer questions.
Of the 112 voting eligible members for the 2020 Board elections, 36 (32%) cast votes, above the participation threshold needed for the election to be valid. Of those members casting ballots, over 97% voted to elect the 2020 candidates. The elections were conducted via Election Buddy between August 5th & 6th.
