Boston, MA | August 12th, 2020 – The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Boston Professionals is pleased to announce the election of our new Chapter President, Seun Oluwole and the Executive Board Members, who will take office effective September 1st, 2020.
Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations and participated in the elections process, especially our voting members. Please join us in welcoming our new and returning Board members:

Seun Oluwole – President (previously Vice President)
Marilyn Louis – Vice President (previously Finance chair)
Aisha Lawal – Secretary (returning)
Timothy Oladute – Treasurer
Daryon Calhoun – Membership chair (returning)

NSBE Boston holds Board elections every year, following a candidates nomination period open to financially active members. The positions of the NSBE Boston President & Vice President, will serve for two years, while other elected positions serve for one year. The elections committee reviewed 5 applications for all of the elected positions.
We held a membership town hall on August 5th, 2020, to provide a Year In Review of the chapter programs & operations, overview of the 2020 election process, presentation of the candidates and answer questions.
Of the 112 voting eligible members for the 2020 Board elections, 36 (32%) cast votes, above the participation threshold needed for the election to be valid. Of those members casting ballots, over 97% voted to elect the 2020 candidates. The elections were conducted via Election Buddy between August 5th & 6th.
