It’s hard to believe that one year ago, our world was turned upside down from an unparalleled pandemic. From the pandemic to the racial reckoning to the election, Black Women have stood up to protect their communities. Unfortunately, they are also disportionately impacted by workplace and societal shifts. In December 2020, Women lost 156,000 jobs, while men gained 16,000 jobs.
Still, we rise.
Join us as we celebrate the resilience of four Black Women that are shaping the future of Boston and STEM. Panelists include Ayanna Polk – Communications and Outreach Manager, Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement, Dr. Sara Suliman – Instructor in Medicine; Immunobiologist, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Samilys Rodriguez – Small Business, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, NORESCO and Ruth Cabrera – A Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Private Practice.
This event will be moderated by Tiffany Moore, Sr Mgr – CI & Quality at Cognex and Founder at Moore of You, LLC
