Job Description:

The ECMO Manufacturing Engineering co-op will assist in building and qualifying a new production line for ECMO products.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Setup and Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) of manufacturing fixtures and processes.
Develop preventative maintenance and calibration procedures for equipment.
Assist in the development of process documentation including assembly procedures, test procedures, routers, travelers, BOMs, process flows, and process FMEAs.
Use Lean and Six Sigma tools to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Support production transfer efforts through recurring meeting coordination/attendance.
Work on cross-functional teams that span global operations.
Support and enforce company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, FDA QSR and ISO regulations.
Job Qualifications:

Junior, senior or grad student pursuing a degree in engineering
Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
Prior work experience desired, medical device experience preferred
Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written)
Self-motivated and execute tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision
Working knowledge of Solidworks desired
Working knowledge of SAP desired
