As part of a multi-disciplinary and sometimes international team, you will make individual contributions, execute problem solving activities and manage tasks from all stages of the medical product development process. Project work may range from hyper focused detailed design to first principal trade-offs. You will be expected to produce consistent work autonomously in your area of expertise and work collaboratively with others to deliver impact for our clients.


As a member of a project team, you will be empowered to:

  • Generate new and novel concepts/solutions
  • Execute analytical and experimental analysis
  • Detail design and prototype systems and products throughout the design cycle
  • Build, test and optimize designs and systems
  • Prepare and present technical conclusions and direction both internally and to clients


  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, BioMechanical Engineering, BioMedical Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of industry experience, preferably in product design or technology exploration
  • A strong understanding of fundamental mechanical and design principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be willing to work in our downtown Boston office (near South Station)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship


  • Experience with CAD and revision control, preferable with Solidworks
  • Experience with lab based experimental design, execution and analysis
  • Experience with prototyping methods, construction and suppliers
  • Analytical problem-solving with familiarity of analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, Minitab, ANSYS)


  • Familiarity with working in any regulated environment (USA or EU)
  • Industrial or academic ownership of lab based experimental design and reporting
  • Prior consulting experience with exposure to external clients
  • Domain specific knowledge in a relevant area (mechanics, biology, fluidics, materials, etc.)
  • Industry experience of using simulation and analysis tools, preferable in ANSYS or MATLAB
  • Experience working through design controls for regulatory submission on a medical product
    A Master’s degree in a related field
