What you’ll be doing: 

Supports freight invoice auditing procedures. Works with 3rd party auditing partners to ensure that freight expenses are processed timely and accurately. Uses in-house tools to assist in auditing courier and other small package invoices with similar auditing requirements.

Responsible for the review and approval of audited freight invoices for payment. Provides data analysis and reporting to support operational and carrier management activities, including network analysis, annual and periodic bids and monthly financial reconciliations. Creates weekly, monthly and ad-hoc Carrier metric reports and assists with financial impact statements. May conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature

Qualifications :

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

4+ years of Transportation and/or Financial analysis experience required
Specific experience with LTL invoicing, classification and accessorial charges
Understanding standard legal transportation service contracts and rate schedules
Proven analytical, financial and problem-solving skills.
Must be capable of working cross functionally with finance, supply chain, transportation, operations and sales; ability to maintain confidential information.
Strong computer skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word, and MS Access. This includes extensive knowledge of Excel with pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Utilizes reporting technology to query data sources to support adhoc analysis and data extracts requested by functional business leadership.
Performs additional duties as required.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications

A background in final mile, parcel and courier delivery invoicing
Bachelors Degree
Experience working with Oracle and AS400 is a plus.
Hands on experience with Power BI, Hyperion or other analytics tools
EDI/API knowledge and experience a plus
