Staples’ Order Lifecycle Systems team enables scalable, efficient, and intelligent order and delivery solutions, and exceptional customer experience through our expertise in business domains and technologies. We are currently taking a platform re-engineering approach to consolidate, modernize, and simplify legacy applications by standardizing interfaces, building micro-services, and/or integrating with 3rd party software that’ll effectively reduce tech debt and vendor footprint, and improve time to market and service levels.
What you’ll be doing:
The Product Manager III role is responsible for several products supporting the Staples Delivery business. In this role you will help develop and manage the product life cycle, which includes defining product strategy, requirements gathering, competitor analysis, feature scoping, product roll-out, reporting, optimization, and continuous innovation in an agile environment. As part of this, you will develop detailed product features/requirements and implementation plans as well as monitor performance to gauge customer impact and technical performance. You will work with key business partners and development teams to bring new products and enhanced system functionality to life.
Work with stakeholders to define product vision; translate vision into a clear and succinct value proposition / business case; and effectively communicate with leadership
Define and maintain roadmaps including iterations; break down large scale initiatives into user stories
Document user requirements including launch and ongoing KPIs to monitor product health and ongoing business value
Work with a cross-functional team to ensure fulfillment of product requirements; evaluate product performance; and transition products from development to production
Manage schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development, launch, and enhancements

Qualifications – External
What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree plus 5 plus years in a Product Manager or similar role
Experience working on a software development team as a developer, technical product manager, or similar role
Experience working in Supply Chain, Replenishment, Transportation, Operations, or Warehouse Management Systems
Experience working with third party and/or legacy software application integrations
Experience with Splunk, databases, and analytic frameworks
Experience with Jira and Confluence
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience as a developer
MBA or equivalent experience
Experience collaborating with offshore and remote teams
Experience with large scale modernization efforts
