Dear NSBE Boston Community,
We are pleased to announce two new leaders to the NSBE Boston team to round out the 2017-18 year. While they are assuming these roles mid-year these two individuals are not strangers to NSBE and have been contributors to the mission in varying capacities over the last several years.
Programs Chair: O’dane White
O’Dane White rejoins the board after serving as NSBE Boston Programs Chair in the 2016-17 year and leading Community Engagement Initiatives for the 2016 NSBE Boston Convention that brought record attendance 11,000+ to our national program.
O’Dane received his B.S in Facilities Planning and Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology and his currently pursuing his M.S in Construction Management from Northeastern University. O’Dane is Project Manager at GenIPM. He looks forward to improving the pipeline between collegiate members to professional members.
Collegiate Initiative Chair: Courtney Utsey
Courtney Utsey will be joining our board as NSBE Boston Collegiate Initiative Chair. Courtney was formerly a leader with Northeastern’s Black Engineering Student Society (BESS) and served as Communications Chair (2015-2016) and Chief of Staff/Internal VP (2016-2017). Today she remains an active alumni member of the chapter.
Courtney graduated from Northeastern University’s College of Art, Media & Design in 2017 with a Communication Studies and concentration in organizational communication. She works as a People + Culture Coordinator at MedTouch. As Collegiate Initiatives Chair, Courtney hopes to improve communication and engagement between the NSBE Boston Professionals and Collegiate chapters through direct outreach and thoughtful and engaging programming prepare the collegians for their transition to professionals.
Corporate Relations Chair: Hosanna Unom
Hosanna graduated from Gordon College with a degree in Economics and Pre-law. She currently works as a commercial lines assistant at Salem Five Insurance Services. As Corporate Relations Chair, her goal is to generate and expand financial support towards the NSBE Boston chapter and its mission through deliberate sponsorship and partnership with various organizations within the STEM field and otherwise.
Telecommunication Chair: Ambruce Carter
Ambruce will be joining our board as the NSBE Boston Telecommunications Chair. Ambruce received his B.S in Business and Information Technology from Framingham State University. He has a background in information security and currently works as a Solutions Consultant at the tech startup JazzHR. He’s interested in promoting cultural discovery, furthering the NSBE message, and developing strategic alliances.
